10am UPDATE: Arsenal reach agreement for youngster

Arsenal have sealed a deal for young forward Gabriel Martinelli.

Brazilian outlet UOL say the Gunners have beaten Barcelona to the signing of the starlet who previously had a trial at Manchester United.

Martinelli will officially move to the Emirates when he turns 18 in June.

The youngster was offered to some of Arsenal’s Premier League rivals but none of them opted to try and sign him.

9.30am UPDATE: Jan Oblak wanted by Manchester United

Manchester United have placed Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak at the top of their list to replace David de Gea, should the Premier League star leave the club this summer, according to a report.

David de Gea has around 15 months to go on his current contract with the club – a deal that the Spaniard is desperate to extend with a higher salary.

De Gea reportedly wants around the same figure that Alexis Sanchez makes at Old Trafford which is near £400,000-a-week.

And according to the Metro, United are prepared to move for Oblak, should their fears about De Gea leaving come true.

United are obviously still desperate to keep De Gea, but this isn’t the first time he’s looked to leave the club, something executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will be aware of.

9am UPDATE: Man Utd told to axe David De Gea and Paul Pogba

Manchester United have been told to axe Paul Pogba and David De Gea by Steve Coppell.

“There’s no real consistency now and rotation is such that it’s hard for any players to really cement their place in the team,” he told talkSPORT.

“You get your four or five stars, and that’s what United are looking for at the moment.

“The Pogbas, the goalkeeper [De Gea] – there seems to be so much indecision with the key players within the team, whether they want to stay, whether they want to go.

“If they want to go, get rid of them!

“Get people who want to play, who have the pride in the shirt, where playing for Manchester United actually means something special for them.

“It is without doubt one of the most special clubs in world football and you need players who are 100 per cent committed rather than looking for a next contract maybe at another club or maybe in another country.

“Manchester United demand what their supporters provide on a weekly basis, which is 100 per cent commitment.”

8.30am UPDATE: Callum Hudson-Odoi won’t be rushed by Chelsea

Chelsea will not be able to rush Callum Hudson-Odoi into signing a new contract at the club.

The England international ruptured his Achilles against Burnley on Monday and now faces a race to be fit for the new season.

Bayern Munich were interested in signing Hudson-Odoi this summer but now have pulled the plug on any deal.

But despite that the Daily Mail reports claim the winger will take his time before making a decision on his future.

8am UPDATE: Tottenham want to keep Christian Eriksen

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has opened up on the future of Christian Eriksen amid rumours he could move to Real Madrid or Manchester United.

Pochettino said: “We are open to talk. The end of the season is so close.

“We must focus on trying to achieve the things that we want. It’s a very special situation. Christian is a special person.

“The timing to agree something is maybe different to another player. I hope and I wish Christian can be with us in the future.

“He has amazing quality. An unbelievable shot with left and right. Of course, mentality as well, but Christian can shoot and can score.”

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has rocked the Red Devils by telling team-mates he wants to leave, according to reports in France.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent times, ever since talking up the La Liga giants last month.

Real would love to make him their marquee midfield signing of the summer amid uncertainty over the future of Toni Kroos.

And French outlet L’Equipe claim Pogba has told certain United team-mates that he is determined to play elsewhere next season.

L’Equipe also say that United have urged Pogba to be loyal given how the club supported him during his rocky relationship with Jose Mourinho.

7am UPDATE: Liverpool boost over Luka Jovic

Liverpool have been boosted in their pursuit of Luka Jovic.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in signing the 21-year-old from Benfica but Bayern Munich are said to have dropped out of the race.

Jovic has netted 25 times in 42 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt this season in a successful loan spell.

Amid the speculation over Jovic’s future, Frankfurt director Freddy Bobic told ZDF: “There’s a real possibility that Jovic signs for Real Madrid.

“I hope and want him to stay here at Eintracht, but I’m also realistic and know that if a big club like Real Madrid want him then we haven’t got a chance of keeping him.”

6.30am UPDATE: Eden Hazard to leave Chelsea?

Craig Burley has told Chelsea star Eden Hazard that it is now or never if he wants to move to Real Madrid.

“Time is not on Hazard’s side,” Burley told ESPN FC.

“If he does not make the move to Real Madrid this summer, he is probably never going to make that move.

“Because in just over one year’s time they will have moved onto someone else, be it Neymar or Mbappe, or the new kid on the block.

“He will then be a year older and how do you know he is not going to pick an injury up?

“Hazard has been a good servant to that football club and has played very well for them.

“I think that if he wants to make that move to Real Madrid, and I think that he should, then he has to make it this summer.

“Nobody can give him a guarantee in future so I think that if he doesn’t make it now, he never will.”

6am UPDATE: Arsenal eye Dennis Praet

Arsenal will look to sign Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet this summer in an attempt to replace the outgoing Aaron Ramsey, according to a report.

Praet first entered onto Arsenal’s radar after he produced an impressive performance against the Gunners a few years back while playing for Anderlecht.

But the Belgian, who was Lucas Torreira’s midfielder partner at Sampdoria, has further impressed with some brilliant displays this season.

Arsenal signed Torreira last summer following the Uruguayan’s fantastic World Cup performances.

And Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport are reporting that manager Unai Emery is looking at Praet as a serious option – and for just €20m (£17.3m).
