It is the final day of Royal Ascot 2019 and guests have saved their best frocks for last as they arrived in the sunshine. The races have attracted members of the Royal Family and the public alike and racegoers have been spotted wearing a number of bold and daring outfits over the past few days. Today, guests have opted for slightly tamer designs with a number of ladies wearing stunning polka dot dress. As well as this, some race fans have opted to ditch their dresses altogether and wear white suits instead.

One woman wore a stunning white trouser suit which was buttoned in the middle, showing a glimpse of a lace flowers top underneath.

Another guest opted for an near identical suit and rested the jacket on her shoulders showing off her sheer white shirt which was buttoned to the top.

She paired this with a classic straw sunhat and held onto a small white leather clutch bag.

Choosing to wear pinstripes, a race fan was spotted in a wide leg white and black trouser suit, which was buttoned up.

The guest matched this with a tan snakeskin clutch bag and a pair of tan shoes.

As the guests arrived in the sun, one race-goer was spotted in a high-neck satin white dress.

One woman arrived in a classy 1950s-inspired look, wearing a short-sleeved black and white polka dot dress which cut off below her knee.

She paired this with a white sunhat which featured a black bow and wore a pair of sheer black gloves.

Another guest would a high-neck red and white gown in a similar print.

The long-sleeved dress nipped in at the waist and had a sheer layer with an asymmetric hemline.

As the guests arrived in the sun, one racegoer was spotted in a high-neck satin white dress.

The dress, which was sleeveless, also had a black and white polka dot design and she paired this with a large grey hat.

As guests have flocked to the racecourse this week, some have commanded attention in more daring numbers.

Earlier this week, guests stepped out in revealing outfits to enjoy the sunshine.

Other guests turned heads in larger than life hats and bold prints.

What is the Royal Ascot dress code?

Known for being strictly implemented, the Royal Ascot dress code is one of the tightest in the racing world.

Royal Ascot produce a detailed guideline every year for guests to follow to ensure there are no style blunders.

The most stringent rules apply in the Royal Enclosure, with ladies having to wear dresses or skirts that fall just above the knee or longer.

Straps must be one inch or greater, with strapless, halter neck and spaghetti straps banned. Midriffs are also not allowed to be on display.

While trouser suits are allowed, they must be full length on the leg and matching material and colour.

Most importantly, hats must be worn, although headpieces with a solid four inch base are permitted. Fascinators are not allowed.

Men must wear black or grey morning dress which includes a waistcoat, tie, top hat and black shoes worn with socks.

This dress code is followed not only by guests but also by members of the Royal Family who attend.

The Queen Anne Enclosure and the Village Enclosure are slightly more relaxed, with fascinators allowed, and dresses or tops with thin straps permitted.
