Meghan Markle and major members of the rolls family attended London event Trooping the Colour today. The event marks the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, the grandmother of Meghan’s husband Prince Harry. Trooping the Colour 2019 is the Duchess of Sussex’s first public appearance since the birth of her first child four weeks ago. It is the second time former actress Meghan has intended the important public event but Archie was was not with her.

Meghan Markle donned a navy blue ensemble by her wedding dress designer, Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller and was first seen arriving at the ceremony in a car.

The Duchess, Prince Harry, Camilla Parker Bowles and Kate Middleton were later seen travelling by coach past crowds.

Meghan also wore a small, neat navy fascinator by Noel Stewart. Her dark hair which was swept back into a low chignon.

Her navy dress with short white sleeves featured a high neck and was covered with a short-sleeved cape of the same colour which she later removed.

The cape featured a large button which fastened around her middle.

The Duchess sported emerald-cut diamond studs in her ears and was clutching a teal clutch as she sat beside her husband and smiled at those gathered.

Meghan also appeared to be wearing a third ring on her wedding ring finger, with some speculating it could be a push present from husband Harry.

The pave-set band was spotted sitting alongside her engagement and wedding rings.

A push present is a gift given by a mother’s partner after the birth of their child and is typically jewellery

Kate Middleton, meanwhile, turned heads wearing a pastel yellow coat dress with a slight V-neck line and structured shoulders.

She also donned a matching colour fascinator, which tilted to the right side of her head and featured a floral and ribbon design on the left.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold previously claimed Meghan may treat the audience of the birthday parade with her newfound “confidence” in her position.

Speaking to, Harrold insisted the former actress took her time to become “much more confident” since becoming a royal: “As we have seen the Duchess of Sussex has got wonderful confidence that she has built up over the years in her previous work as an actress and public figure.

“However, as a member of the royal family, she now has had to work out her new role and make it something she is comfortable with.

“She would also have to become confident in this new position as a member of the British royal family.

“As with anyone going into a new job this takes time and I have no doubt the Duchess has now settled into her new life and position as a royal Duchess and we will see her gaining more confidence in this role.”

Meghan Markle was last seen when she and Prince Harry attended an intimate photocall with two-day-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Thousands of flag-bearing spectators are expected to line the Mall as members of the Horse Guards Parade perform an impressive display of pomp and pageantry in Whitehall.

The Trooping the Colour procession involves more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians who will move from Buckingham Palace down the Mall.

A 41-gun salute in honour of the Queen will also take place in nearby Green Park by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.

The event finishes with a Royal Air Force (RAF) flyover watched by the Royal Family on Buckingham Palace balcony.

Trooping the Colour has taken place on the second Saturday of June in a tradition dating back more than 260 years – but the Queen’s real birthday was on April 21 when she turned 93.
