Manchester United have been regularly linked with a move for Sancho in recent months amid the teenager’s impressive form for Borussia Dortmund.

The 18-year-old, who has flourished in the Bundesliga ever since leaving Manchester City back in the summer of 2017, has played a key role in Dortmund’s charge towards the league title.

Manchester United are set to spend big this summer and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is seeking a winger to provide balance to his attack.

Anthony Martial appears the nailed-on option on the left wing while the club also have Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez capable of playing there.

On the right, however, United have often had to deploy either Juan Mata or Jesse Lingard out of position.

And the Daily Star say that the Red Devils have officially added Sancho to a three-man transfer shortlist.

It comes as United decide to end their pursuit of Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.

Instead, Sancho is in their sights along with Declan Rice and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Rice has had a fine season for West Ham, flourishing for the Hammers amid an inconsistent first season under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini.

He made his England debut earlier this year, too, after turning his back on the Republic of Ireland.

Hudson-Odoi, meanwhile, is facing an uncertain future at Chelsea.

Like Rice, he also made his Three Lions bow earlier this year in the same game – a 5-0 drubbing of the Czech Republic.

Chelsea are yet to nail the 18-year-old down to a new contract.

And it seems as if United are ready to exploit the mystery over his future by pursuing him this summer.

Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Barcelona have also been linked with a summer move.

The Daily Star add that United are hoping to conclude talks with Rashford over a new contract, too.

Real Madrid have been sniffing about, with Los Blancos primed to spend big to overhaul their own attack at the end of the season.

Talks are supposedly planned to take place in the coming weeks and Rashford, as a local lad, is expected to sign on the dotted line.
