Police were called to Exeter House in Watermill Way just after 11pm on Friday to reports of a shooting. Armed police, local officers, London’s Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service attended and found the victim, believed to be in his 20s, with critical injuries. He died at the scene and a murder probe has been launched.

No arrests have been made yet and a crime scene remains in place.

It is the start of what threatens to be another weekend of bloodshed in the capital, after four people were killed in as many days in suspected murders in London earlier this month.

On June 14, Cheyon Evans, 18, was found stabbed in Wandsworth, south-west London, and died at the scene.

In the second killing later that day, Eniola Aluko, 19, was died after being shot in Plumstead, south-east London.

Last Saturday a man in his 30s was stabbed to death in Tower Hamlets, east London, just before 2pm.

And a man in his 40s was stabbed to death in Stratford, east London, in the early hours of Monday.

Speaking on Monday, London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: “We’ve had four days and four homicides in London, we’ve seen over the last five years an increase in violent crime across our country and it’s not acceptable.

“That’s one of the reasons why City Hall, even though there’s been massive cuts from central government, have continued to invest in our police.”

Anyone with information about the Feltham shooting is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 9535/june21.
