PARIS, France – Ashleigh Barty leaped 6 places to world No. 2 in the WTA rankings released Monday, June 10, after the Australian pulled off a surprising win in the French Open.

Naomi Osaka narrowly retained the top spot despite her shock elimination in the third round at Roland Garros which ended her hopes of winning a third successive Grand Slam.

British Johanna Konta moved up 8 spots to 18th as a reward for reaching the French Open semifinals.
