Donald Trump ‘more likely’ to give Britain trade deal than Biden as President ‘loves’ UK | Politics | News

James Delingpole told LBC the current US President loves Britain due to his Scottish mother and his golf courses in the UK. However, he claimed the UK’s prime ministers – Theresa May and Boris Johnson – have not reciprocated the love back to Donald Trump and have instead been standoffish towards the US President.

Mr Delingpole said: “If we are talking about individual characters, I think Biden is very much part of that globalist pro-EU faction.

“He will want to do what all the globalists and the EU want to do which is to punish Britain for seeking independence from the shackles of the European Union.

“So, I don’t think he will be inclined to give us any kind of trade deal anytime soon.

“President Trump, I take him at his word, he clearly loves Britain because of his Scottish mother and his golf courses.

“I think we don’t reciprocate the love, our prime ministers tend to be much more standoffish towards Trump than he is to them.

“I think Trump is far more likely to give us a deal to stick it to the globalists.”

However, his comments come as Donald Trump’s biographer predicted the US President will suffer a “landslide” defeat to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

During an interview with Andrew Neil on TimesRadio, journalist and biographer Michael Wolff claimed the current US President will lose the upcoming election “without question”.

“The only question is how big the landslide will be.

“Everyone knows it is going to be a landslide, but is it a 45-state landslide?

“That is the tension, not whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump will win.

“Joe Biden will win, Donald Trump is history.

“How deep the grave he has dug for himself is the interesting question.”
