Miller is in training for a blockbuster bout against Joshua at New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 1.

The American has been offered a shot at the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.

But that clash is in serious doubt as Joshua’s camp have been informed of Miller’s apparent failed drugs test.

It is claimed Miller tested positive for GW1516, otherwise known Endurobol, during a VADA [Voluntary Anti Doping Agency] check on March 20.

Joshua is still expected to make his USA debut in June but could likely face a lesser-ranked opponent.

And boxing fans are furious the showdown is in jeopardy.

“Miller’s an idiot if this is true,” one supporter wrote on Twitter.

“Fighters would almost kill themselves to be contenders years ago….to get a title shot was like the Holy Grail.”

And a further used noted: “Jarrell Miller – s**thouse.”

While another commented: “#bigbabymiller is a bum!”

Fans were in sheer disbelief that Miller may have messed up the biggest night of his career.

“WOW!! Undefeated heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller may have just put the BIGGEST fight of his career in jeopardy as he is POPPED for failing a drug test ahead of his unification bout against Anthony Joshua,” another supporter wrote.

Ironically, Miller used the pre-fight press conference to accuse Joshua of taking steroids – claims which were supported by no evidence whatsoever.

“Nobody could have put on 20lb between winning the Olympics and his first pro fight the way Joshua did without taking something. Impossible,” he said.

“We’ve busted our balls to get full testing for 10 weeks to make sure he’s clean before June 1. We’ve covered the bases. If he’s been taking performance-enhancing drugs I couldn’t care less now. I’ve studied him. His physique, his power, his stamina.

“Since he won his titles his body’s slimmed down and he’s only really knocked out opponents who backed away. There’s not the same strength and stamina.

“[Wladimir] Klitschko pushed for testing. In what subjects did Wladimir and Vitali get their PHDs? Sports medicine. Why did people who know everything about physics of the body want Joshua to test every other week? They pushed on that but settled a bit to make the fight.”
