Sources have said that Prince Harry wanted the chance to get his side across before the future of the Sussexes was decided by the family. According to the MailOnline, Prince Harry arrived more than two hours before the crisis talks began, as he planned to let his grandmother know his feelings in an emotional heart to heart. The Queen’s statement released today revealed that “constructive discussions” were had and that she is “entirely supportive” of Harry and Meghan’s departure from royal duties.

The statement detailed the Sussexes bid for financial independence, before going on to suggest their next move going forward.

It outlined  “Harry and Meghan’s have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives.

“It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK.”

Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter noted that the Queen referring to Meghan and Prince Harry by their first names could potentially mean the couple will lose their royal titles.

She tweeted: “I do think it was very striking, particularly in a statement from the Queen.

“Are they having to give up their titles? This would be an indication they are.”

Observers have remarked how the Queen has used particularly emotive language in the statement, including royal author Penny Junor.

She said: “I think it’s a positive statement. It sounds friendly and warm, the way the Queen talks about family so much.

The crunch talks, which took place in Norfolk, were said to have lasted two and a half hours in a gruelling lockdown.

Meghan who had hoped to join the summit from Vancouver via conference call was reportedly barred after fears that others may be listening in.

An insider said: “This was a highly confidential family discussion, not a conference call.”

It’s also expected that Charles will put a stop to Prince Harry having access to unlimited funds, although he knows that the Sussexes will ultimately rely on the Duchy of Cornwall to meet family bills.

The Queen has maintained that a solution will be found to fix the work that still needs to be done.

She stated: “I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.”

Meanwhile, Prince Phillip has reportedly been “spitting blood” since the Sussexes departures statement was released and yelled at his aides “what are they playing at?.”

There are also mounting fears that Meghan and Prince Harry will give a tell-all interview to their close friend Oprah Winfrey.

Where they could reveal the royal family’s “racism and sexism” if they aren’t granted their demands.

Although they are likely to be spending the foreseeable future in Canada, it is likely that Los Angeles is the royal couple’s long-term goal, as they seek to build a home there after the end of President Trump’s presidency.
